I met Dean in Fan Formula. he was one of the first who gave me the welcome when I decided to join to the “live action”.
F1 fan since a young age. Racing was literally near to his House.
Let’s go with the questions
Dean, first to all thanks for accept this interview for “from the other side of Racing”.
1) Why you are an F1 Fan?
“Generally love motorsport and F1 is the pinnacle. love it for the speed and technical ability and also for the strategy involved and the drama that unfolds throughout a season”.
2) How started your love to F1?
“First race I saw was the epic battle between Hill and Schumacher at Adelaide. My Dad was into F1 and I used to watch it with him”.
3) Your favorite F1 memory as a fan?
“Probably Jenson Button winning the world championship. Though I also loved the epic battles between Schumacher and Hakkinen in the late 90’s”.
3) Who is your favorite F1 driver? And why
“Jenson Button. Being British and seeing him come though being so exiting in his early years as Damon Hill was bowing out the sport. and watching him struggle through his years at BAR and Honda to show his true potential in the excellent Brawn and win the World Championship”.
4) Your thoughts about social media with F1?
“Has improved my enjoyment of watching F1. Gives me a scope to share my views of the sport and here other people’s views. Also gives a lot more interaction with the drivers and teams”.
5) Describe in one word, the 2012 F1 Season?
“Invigorating”.
6) What thing you want to change in F1?
“Like the way the sport is at the moment but would maybe like to see v10/v12 engines return. would also like some more European races to replace some of the more boring, not well attended long haul circuits”.
7) Do you follow other types of racing and why?
“Not really got time to follow other type of racing but used to follow WRC and American Indycar. Do always try to attend Renault World Series events when there’re in the UK”.
8) Greatest F1 Driver of all the time and why?
“Greatest driver in my lifetime has to be Michael Schumacher. But Think Senna was an even greater driver”.

9) Greatest F1 Car in F1 History?
“Difficult to pick out one car but in my lifetime any of Schumacher’s Title winning Ferrari’s, the 2011 Red Bull and Jenson’s Brawn were all unbeatable at times”.

10) If you were involved in the F1 World, what would be your job?
Would love Tilke’s of designing racetracks. Do occasionally doodle track layouts in my spare time, and have looked into ways of bringing back the Birmingham Super Prix”.
The Birmingham Super Prix.
Was a race across the Streets of Birmingham during the mid 80’s until 1990. The principal event for that race was the F3000 Gp also as a support events had the BTCC and Formula Ford races.
About the track was an Street circuit located in the heart of Birmingham with bumpy turns, high speed straights, a hairpin, chicane, etc…
